This is seriously a cool video!~ We were the official cinematographers at the Gasparilla International Film Festival for 4 days in March – following all the action and mingling with the stars. Raymond J. Barry got the lifetime achievement award and you may not know his name but click on the link and I guarantee you have seen most of his films. I was saying, “I didn’t know he was in that!?” We got to hang with Ryan Nece and Shelton Quarrels of the Bucs, Jerry Springer, Stephen Baldwin, Armand Assante and the Melora Hardin, Michael’s Boss from “The Office” (ok well we really didn’t hang with all of them but said “Hi” to most…lol)

The Rising Star Award went to Arielle Kebbel who was a student of local actor teacher Kathy Lauglin of Performers Studio Workshop. Kathy has coached many of the actors used in our short films!

The closing party was a blast and MMD Events designed a fantastic party, and the to die for delecables was catered by Good Food Catering Company and the bar was run by the fantastic uDream Events and DJ Fresh official DJ of the Rays rocked the house!

Check out the party here!

Summer and Frank were married at the beautiful Mirror Lake Lyceum in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. Summer contacted us last minute as she realized how important having her wedding filmed was to her and we are so glad she did! Summer and Frank are such a sweet, loving young couple and their wedding was a blast.

Summer’s package did not include a highlight reel but I loved the shots we got so much plus we had a chance to work with some different music, that I had to post something. They also had vintage nostalgic look to their wedding that we tried to replicate that in the film, we just had to post a teaser for everyone to see.

We got to work with Jason Angelini, a fantastic local photographer who is featured in the video.

Not only does the site they used www.weddingwire.com allow for you to review your vendors at your event, it’s a great place to search out other vendors and see what other brides are saying. Also, you can read what Joy and Jeff had to say about their vendors – which may be a help to you.

According to Wedding Wire – if you leave 5 reviews about your vendors at your event – you will get a free gift card! How cool is that?

Here is what Joy and Jeff had to say about us!

Tampa Wonderworks did more than we could ask for during our wedding! Bryan continued to set us at ease from the moment we met him until the wedding day was over. When we can, we recommend him for the awesome job he did! He even has a blog that you can see your trailer or highlight real when he is finished. What a hit for our family and friends to see! His drive, will for perfection and to be the best in the business is what sold us. We couldn’t be happier with our decision and we were so blessed to have found him. You definitely won’t be disappointed. Watch out Tampa, this videographer will be the next big thing in wedding videography. Check out the website and blog for yourself.

I got a call from Smithfield Foods late last week. They needed a promo done with Don Zimmer and had no one available to shoot and produce the piece. It was a honor to be chosen and Tampa Wonderworks was able “hit one out of the park” with very little notice.

Don was super cool and his home in Seminole was like a mini Cooperstown! There was such amazing memorabilia everywhere, dozens of bats, trophy’s, awards and signed photos of Jeter, A-Rod, Jerry Rice, Carlton Fisk and all the rest.

He was such a big kid when it came to talking baseball. Obviously, he was very pleased about the 1st place Rays! He said that no one on the staff even suspected that they would turn it around so dramatically this year. He also agreed with me that Carl Crawford should be their lead off man (see I have some managerial skills.)

Go Rays!!!

Don was also excited about Leftover’s Film’s new project but said after reading the Smithfield script on the Teleprompter maybe he would sit this one out! Haha…

By now you have had a few moments to check out our really cool new site! It only took about 40hrs (phew!) behind this computer to get it ready for launch! Our goal with THE BLOG is to communicate better with our clients and the other professionals we work with. And for you to learn more about us as we grow in the wedding videography business!

We plan to share more information and post more current material, including one of one of our coolest new enhancements to our higher end packages, “the Wedding Trailer.” The trailers will be published to the blog just a few weeks after your wedding.

This is my first blog posting… and by the time you read this our new site will have “gone live.” We feel that our new flash-based site better represents who we are and the work we create as filmmakers. Tampa Wonderworks Wedding Day Films is a dream come true and hope our work is a reflection to the dedication to our craft!

My wife Tracey has spent many, many days working on our new logo. At one point her iMac crashed ( I thought macs never crashed!) and she lost many hours worth of work. We have relaunched and redesigned our new look to better represent our life and work as movie makers!

Tracey is marketing whiz and an all around excellent graphic designer who has an excellent eye behind the lens (I am a very lucky man). I have been incorporating her more and more on our shoots and she is the drivng force behind our new look and brand… Tampa Wonderworks is dedicated to turning your wedding into a BLOCKBUSTER!
