Chanell + Donny Coming Attractions // Super 8 + HD

We were so excited to be able to share in Chanell and Donny’s big day! You know she is beautiful with a name like Chanell. She is a wedding and event coordinator out of Indiana with Merry Me Events. We just knew she was going to pull off an incredible event. The wedding was held at the wonderful Hammock Dunes Resort in Palm Coast. It was a more than perfect day as the two wed with the sounds of the waves of the Atlantic! The super 8mm film really added to capture the true beauty. The reception was spectacular with romantic pinks and blues and whites and gorgeous LED lights, a never ending procession of beautiful flowers and champagne flowing all night long. Cher, Merry Me Events owner, was there to make sure all went as planned. The soulful sounds of Kai Alece kept the party going till the wee hours of the morning. Congrats you guys!

Tampa Wonderworks featured in the Tampa Bay Times!

We are excited to have our Trash the Dress Contest and our Super 8mm film featured in today’s (October 13, 2009) edition of tbt* (Tampa Bay Times)! A still from the film even made it to print! The article “Bridal gowns coming out of the closet” showcases several area brides and their very cool experiences trashing their wedding dresses. Go grab a copy of the tbt* or read it online! Julie + Trent Trash the Dress!

Julie and Trent were the winners of our fantastic collaborative Trash the Dress giveaway with Carrie Wildes Photography, Confetti Events & Weddings, HD Beauty Design by Pamela, Events in Bloom, and A Hair Affair!

If you have been following the blog you know that Julie submitted the winning story idea “Can’t Always Hit ‘em Straight.” Trent, an avid golfer, wanted their wedding on a golf course, Julie wanted the big dream wedding. Trent did the right thing and gave Julie her dream wedding. During their 1st toast as husband and wife, they used the glasses Julie’s grandmother gave them. As they picked up the glasses filled with champagne, Julie’s stem broke and the champagne spilled all over her dress. Thanks to that stain, she decided that Trashing her already stained dress would be a wonderful way to fulfill Trent’s golf course wedding dream, at least a little bit.

Julie and Trent really helped make this a unique event and a fun time for all of us. Trent got all dressed up in an old style golf outfit that really went with our vintage themed Super 8mm film. Julie was really into the spirit of the Trashing and had no reservations about any of the crazy ideas we had! A big thanks to Mike and Deborah from Emerald Greens in Carrollwood for letting us utilize their beautiful facility!

Photoclub 5 + Super 8mm

We were so excited to finally get back our film from the lab in California after weeks of waiting. Apparently the color negative machine went down that they used to process our film. I had a great time shooting the models and so many of the bay area’s top photographers. Many thanks to Jerry McGaghey and Briana and Brian Elledge for putting together the fantastic shootout. The super 8mm really looks great!

Here is the full version of Ashley + Mike’s e-session in super 8 mm film! We are so excited to have worked with Ashley + Mike and really get a chance to showcase their vintage look. We wanted to incorporate and showcase the fantastic work of Gina Leigh who shoots on medium format film and 35mm. Her photos are beautiful and the colors are gorgeous! They have a very raw feel to them which compliments the super 8mm film very well.

Ashley + Mike’s e-session super 8mm teaser w/Gina Leigh Photography

We wanted to work with Gina Leigh because of the very unique vintage look she achieves with her photography. She is an incredible photographer who shoots on medium format film as well as 35mm film and digital. We got some great super 8mm footage of her e-session with Ashely + Mike and we couldn’t wait to show some of the cool footage we got!

Ashley and Michael are a cool young couple who are very nostalgic, they love all things vintage. The loving couple are having a vintage wedding at the Crosley Mansion in Sarasota. They chose the Don Vicente in Ybor City, for their e-session, because of its old-time feel and historical significance. One step inside the beautiful building and you know you have gone back in time (right down to the lack of air conditioning…lol)

In the final film (coming soon) we are going to highlight Gina as well her incredible photos! For now check out this short teaser.

Super 8mm film is here…and we couldn’t be happier:)

We are super excited to offer Super 8mm Wedding Day Films! Super 8mm film became very popular in the late 60’s early 70’s. It’s popularity lasted till around the mid 1980’s. It is the stuff of our parents and even their parents. With all the digital technology available today it is nice to go back to our roots as filmmakers and get a chance to shoot and process real film!

We are giving away a Super 8mm Film for a “Trash the Dress Contest” and we are now offering Super 8mm Wedding Day Film packages for a very unique and rich retro film – of your wedding day!

Check out our 1st roll of film I shot of my beautiful wife in R.E. Oldes Park right by our home in Oldsmar.
